My dear Lord, I pray to Thee

To keep me safe and comfort me

While in my hour of despair

Your words of wisdom, I shall hear

Please embrace my troubled heart

And help me not to fall apart

As I tread this lonely path

I feel the power of my wrath

Through the darkness of the night

Please guide my footsteps toward the light

And if my path should split in two
